David Dalrymple received his formal training in fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. David became part of the rough and tumble world of 1980’s New York nightlife; he created costumes for various stars of the demimonde and received notoriety for his optimistic designs. David captured the attention of Patricia Field in 1993 and she recruited him as creative director of the House of Field collection. After just two seasons of adding his spin, he took the collection out of the club and showed on the runways of New York Fashion Week, further cementing the brands place in fashion history. The collection became a must have for stylists, celebrities and sexy “it” girls worldwide. David also became known for building clothing for the worlds most talked about women…women who aren’t afraid to be the center of attention. A pivotal career moment was when David was commissioned to create the much publicized nude illusion and Swarovski break away ensemble for Britney Spears that stopped the show at the 2000 MTV music awards.Since then David’s client list began to read as a who’s who of the entertainment industry. Today, David Dalrymple is committed to creating handmade unique fashion in the historical garment center of New York City, a challenge he finds extremely joyful.
